I'm also not really sure what the point of blueprints even is, as it seems the blueprint weapons can be constructed from parts without using the blueprints. I'm not sure whether this is another "bonus" of the LE or just something that happens to everyone. So, to my question: does anyone know a way to disable them?Īlso, I seem to start the game with every blueprint. Origin seems to think that these additions (called "Witness Pack" and "First Contact Pack" IIRC) are DLCs. It turns out LE means you start the game with some ludicrously overpowered gear that totally disrupts the game balance and makes resource management and weapon crafting completely redundant. I didn't particularly want a limited edition, but there doesn't seem to actually be a "standard" edition on sale at the moment so my only options were LE or nothing. I bought the "Limited Edition" of Dead Space 3 on Origin.
